First post! - Take Shape For Life and Medifast

Hello everybody! My name is Cora, I'm from Maryland and I've been on Medifast since September 9th. My starting weight was 225, and already I'm at 212! I am so glad to see an LJ community based on this.

Now here's an idea. That message board on the website is terrible when it comes to navagatibility. So I have two questions:

1.) What are your favorite add-ins to your medifast meals? Do you have some not listed on the site, and if so what are they?

2.) What are some of your favorite Lean & Green recipes?

I just learned that there's a kind of noodle, called Shirataki noodles, that you can use as a green part of your L&G. They listed it in the message boards. I'm going to try and get some this weekend and maybe have some spaghetti! Something I haven't had in WEEKS! I'll let you all know how good they are :)

Maybe I should edit and say "put them under cut-tags"? I mean, it's a small community, so I doubt it'd be so much as spamming. But I mostly just want to see some other people's ideas on L&G's; don't really care what they involve, so long as I have something new to try :)

Add-ins like those, yeah. But also for like, the soups and the oatmeals. I added diet gingerale to my Strawberry Creme shake and it tasted like a creamosa. Good stuff!

I love splitting up my lean and green meal. I usually have a salad with tomatoe then meat when I get home from work.
I have been on it for 6 weeks and have lost 34 pounds.

Congratulations! Oh wow, looking at that inspires me! "That can be me in six weeks!"

You split up your meal? There's a thought I hadn't taken into consideration! Spreads it out a bit farther, and I always find myself a little hungrier in the evening.

Yes, I always feel hungry when I get home from work. I like to cook something while I make my son something to eat. The emotional feeling of being left out.
I read on the message boards other people split up their meals. I just try to do what works for me not wanting to cheat. I am searching for those noodles now!
